Job summary

Therapy & Beyond is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver clinic-based care for pediatric and adolescent clients at our McKinney Clinic. You will provide direct 1:1 OT sessions (30 minutes each), collaborate with BCBAs, SLPs and families to support meaningful developmental goals.

Applicants should hold a Texas OT license and have experience with ASD; two years of direct service is preferred. On-site clinic work includes full benefits and a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting preferred.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment; identify patient needs and target developmental goals.
• Document, prepare and revise Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical records.
• Assess ROM, strength, coordination and ADL performance; ensure safety and adaptive equipment needs.
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data on patient progress.
• Evaluate treatment efficiency; demonstrate professional behavior and crisis intervention competence.
• Provide 1:1, 30 minute OT sessions and train families and staff.

Job Description

TheOccupational Therapistposition is responsible for the direct implementation of therapy services within a clinic-based environment. This position will work closely with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure that each patient in the organization receives quality therapeutic care!

This role will be compensated by session, while supporting pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at ourMcKinneyClinic.

• Perform clinical assessment; identifypatient needs and target developmental goals
• Document, prepare/revises, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis
• Assess and facilitatethe patient’s ROM, strength, coordination, need for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to the patient’s ADL performance needs
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiencyof the treatment
• Demonstration of professional behavior
• Competence with Crisis Intervention
• Facilitateeffective training with parents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide 1:1, 30 minute OT sessions
