Job summary

Therapy & Beyond is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver clinic-based therapy for pediatric and adolescent clients at our McKinney Clinic. The role is compensated by session and involves collaboration with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to provide quality care.

Requirements include a Texas OT license; two years of direct service preferred and ASD experience preferred. On-site clinic in McKinney offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist.
• Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting preferred.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment; identify patient needs and target developmental goals.
• Document, prepare/revise, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation regularly.
• Assess and facilitate patient range of motion, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment needs, and functional mobility for ADL performance.
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiency of the treatment.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and crisis intervention competence.
• Facilitate effective training with parents and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

TheOccupational Therapistposition is responsible for the direct implementation of therapy services within a clinic-based environment. This position will work closely with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure that each patient in the organization receives quality therapeutic care!

This role will be compensated by session, while supporting pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at ourMcKinneyClinic.

• Perform clinical assessment; identifypatient needs and target developmental goals
• Document, prepare/revises, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis
• Assess and facilitatethe patient’s ROM, strength, coordination, need for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to the patient’s ADL performance needs
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiencyof the treatment
• Demonstration of professional behavior
• Competence with Crisis Intervention
• Facilitateeffective training with parents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
