Job summary

Brudnick Center for Living in Massachusetts is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for PRN weekend coverage. The role involves evaluating residents, creating individualized therapy plans, and delivering interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, balance and safety.

Applicants must hold an MA OT license, have at least 1 year of experience in long-term care, and demonstrate excellent English communication. Comprehensive benefits and supportive environment offered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and rehab teams to set goals and coordinate care.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications; train residents and caregivers.
• Complete timely documentation, monitor progress, and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence, functional abilities, and quality of life.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to enhance activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, mobility, balance, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation team members, and families to establish goals and deliver coordinated care.
• Recommend and train residents and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and fall prevention strategies to promote safe, independent living.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation, monitor resident progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

Qualifications for Success:

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current, active MA Occupational Therapist license
• Minimum 1-year experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
