Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Occupational Therapist to join our care team and help patients regain daily living skills. You will implement goal-directed treatment plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate discharge planning.

Requirements include a Texas OT license and CPR certification; a strong commitment to ethics and ongoing professional development is expected. This is a full-time, on-site clinical position.

Qualifications

• Texas OT license to practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders
• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis
• Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals
• Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment
• Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required
• Current CPR certification required
• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
