Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our care team in Texas. You will develop and implement treatment plans, evaluate progress, and help patients regain daily living skills according to physician orders.

You will supervise OT staff and students, educate patients and caregivers, and prepare for timely discharge with home adaptations and equipment recommendations. Texas licensure and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders.
• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and discharge plan.
• Supervise OT Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, and OT students.
• Educate patients/caregivers on OT services, procedures, and goals.
• Prepare for client discharge with education, home visit, and equipment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders
• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis
• Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals
• Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment
• Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required
• Current CPR certification required
• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
