Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation in Texas is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our care team. You will develop individualized treatment plans to restore daily living skills and functional abilities for our patients.

You will supervise OT staff, educate patients and families on therapy goals, and participate in discharge planning with home modification recommendations while upholding OT ethics. This role supports a collaborative, patient-centered approach to recovery.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.
• BS/MS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Pre-employment verifications completed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed OT treatment plans for assigned patients.
• Set realistic functional goals aligned with discharge plan.
• Supervise OT staff and OT students on a routine basis.
• Educate patients and caregivers on OT services and goals.
• Prepare timely discharge planning including home mods and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of OT Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pate Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated, experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role on the care team, helping to restore functional skills and activities of daily living for our valued patients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders
• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis
• Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals
• Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment
• Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required
• Current CPR certification required
• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
