Job summary

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking a Long Term Substitute Occupational Therapist to join our special education service team. The role supports the development and implementation of the service delivery model under the guidance of the IIS Team and BEA contract terms.

The ideal candidate will hold Minnesota special education OT licenses and be highly qualified or able to meet highly qualified status.

• Highly qualified in a core academic area or can be certified highly qualified.

Position Overview:

Long Term Substitute Occupational Therapist
Hours/Day: 1.0 FTE from 8/24/2026 to 10/14/2026
Compensation/Benefits: BEA Contract

Primary Responsibilities:

• The licensed OT works closely with the Individualized Student Services Team to support the development and implementation of the special education service delivery model. The OT serves as a resource for their special education staff in disseminating information on evidence-based practices.

• Continually work to understand your own assumptions and biases and how they impact the learning environment


• Make a commitment to value and manage cultural uniquenesses and adapt education to meet the needs of each student

• Develop a culture of trust where students, families, and staff are all reflected in decisions that shape the learning environment


• Foster student agency in a way that allows and encourages students to make choices that personalize their learning journey


• Build a day-to-day experience that leads students to their passion and purpose

License / Education Requirements:
