Job summary

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking a Fourth Grade Long Term Substitute to support student learning and engagement within the One91 initiative, focusing on equity and culturally responsive teaching.

Hours are 8 per day, from October 15, 2026 through December 23, 2026, with compensation per Burnsville Education Association contract. The substitute will foster a positive learning environment and adapt instruction to meet student needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Minnesota K-5 Elementary teaching license.
• Experience with diverse learners and commitment to cultural competence.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet students' needs and maintain an engaging classroom.

Primary Responsibilities

License / Education Requirements

• Licensed by the MN Department of Education as a K - 5 Elementary Teacher
• Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one's own cultural competence, i.e., valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations and one's skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas
