Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain accurate medical records. The role includes developing treatment plans, supervising therapists, and contributing to facility rehabilitation initiatives.

The OT will train Restorative Aides and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and safe, effective discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; licensure in good standing.
• Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Proficient computer skills (Net Health, Point Click Care)
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedures; communicate with managers, coworkers, families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with families and medical staff.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff.
• Complete timely, compliant documentation as required.
• Maintain safe treatment environments and infection control practices.
