Job summary

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred; may require valid driver's license.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications, BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients with functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments.
• Develop realistic therapy goals and administer appropriate OT programs.
• Document client information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans.
• Educate clients to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
• Supervise assistants, aides, and students when needed; provide ongoing education to peers.
