Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring an Occupational Therapist for full-time and PRN roles, including a $7,500 sign-on bonus and flexible scheduling. You will assess functional status, develop therapy plans, and coordinate with the care team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold a current OT license in the state, a valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation. CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides OT services within the scope of practice and per the plan of care using evidence-based techniques and coordinating with the health care team.
• Evaluates the patient's functional status and CMS-required documentation; consults with the physician on the therapy plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports the patient's response to treatment and any changes in condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating function using diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.
• Delivers care regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
