Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Marshfield, WI is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess residents and patients, developing, maintaining, and recovering their ability to perform daily tasks. You may supervise staff and collaborate with providers, case managers, and families to optimize care.

The position requires state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, NBCOT certification for Sanford Health facilities, and a valid driver’s license where applicable. BLS is required or obtained within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification is preferred for Sanford Health facilities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• New graduates may be considered with a temporary license in ND/SD/IA/MN.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evaluations and provides interventions for residents and patients.
• Evaluates abilities and develops realistic therapy goals.
• Documents information for evaluation and establishes therapeutic plans.
• Provides education to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
• Shares knowledge and mentors peers in the area of expertise.
