Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess clients and design therapy programs across post-acute, long-term care, and home health settings. The role involves evaluating physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities and developing realistic goals to restore daily function.

The therapist will document outcomes, educate patients and families, and collaborate with care teams while adhering to departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• When working at a Sanford Health Facility: NBCOT certification may be required; valid driver’s license may be needed.
• New graduates in the process of testing with the board in ND/SD/IA/MN may be considered with a temporary license.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments.
• Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for individuals with functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments.
• Develop therapy goals and administer programs; document information for evaluation and regulatory compliance.
• Provide education to clients to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
