Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver functional rehabilitation across home, school, work, and community settings in the Raleigh area.

The role emphasizes autonomous practice within a collaborative therapist team, treating clients in real-life environments and advancing recovery from brain injury, stroke, or spinal cord injuries. Eligible candidates will have a valid OT license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by the practicing state.
• Current CPR Certification.
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving or transferring may involve lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and standing/walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide home and community safety recommendations and resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to improve patient outcomes and coordination of care.
