Job summary

PACS seeks a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, design and update treatment plans, and supervise COTA staff. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the health care team to ensure optimal recovery and safe care delivery.

Responsibilities include documenting thoroughly, participating in care conferences, and providing resident education on goals and home exercise programs, while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Licensing in good standing required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; prefer Masters/Doctorate.
• Proficient in data entry in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Ability to present information to managers, coworkers and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and student staff.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff and families regarding progress.
• Participate in care conferences, Utilization Review and rehab meetings.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per regulations.
• Maintain infection control and safe treatment environment.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on goals, home programs and safety.
