Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain documentation in medical records.

The role includes in-services for facility staff, supervision of COTA and aides, and participation in care conferences and discharge planning. Requires state licensure and OT degree; emphasis on teamwork and compliance with board standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Strong communication with managers, families and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
• Treat patients per the treatment plan.
• Supervise COTA and aides in patient care.
• Record evaluations and daily/treatment notes per requirements.
• Participate in discharge planning and family/caregiver training.
• Report equipment needs and maintain department equipment.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and team.
