Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in the Acute Care department. This on-site, day-shift role includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and rotating weekends/holidays.

You’ll design and implement individualized therapy plans, document progress, and educate patients and families to improve daily living skills. The ideal candidate holds an OT license in Florida (or eligibility), a Bachelor's degree (Master's or Doctorate preferred), and BLS

Qualifications

• OT license in Florida or eligibility to obtain
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• Bachelor's degree; Master's or Doctorate preferred for advanced practice

Responsibilities

• Assess patient ability to safely perform independent living skills.
• Design the plan of care including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implement treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document patient progress and modify plan as needed.
• Educate patient and family about deficits and care requirements

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.

• Document findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
