Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers in their homes and community settings in California. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive team environment.

You will conduct developmental assessments, follow IFSPs, and coach families to support their child’s progress with a person-centered approach. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; California license required.

Qualifications

• California OT license is required.
• Pediatric and Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide occupational therapy services.
• Follow IFSP and collaborate with families to set goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence.
• Deliver services in homes, daycare centers, and community settings.
• Prepare progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal laws.

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
