Job summary

Ascension in Smithville, Texas, seeks an Occupational Therapist (PRN, Day) to support the Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation departments. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to craft personalized recovery plans, deliver targeted therapies, and document progress to help patients reach their goals.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families on practical techniques and coordinating daily caseloads with therapy and medical staff to ensure smooth transitions of care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• OT credential from the Texas Board within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's or doctorate preferred.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
