Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, MA is hiring per diem Occupational Therapists to assess, care plan and treat patients within a general rehab caseload.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• CEU’s per state licensure requirements.
• Must possess an OT license in Massachusetts.
• At least one year of OT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients/residents
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, and ordering supplies.
• Under physician orders, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with the plan of care (individual, supervised and group).
• Contributes to team meetings and decision-making processes as defined by the program.
• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies with supervisor in ongoing basis.
• Documents activities per the clinical documentation system in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisor.
• Provides appropriate consultation to the facility.

Weekly pay up to $55 an hour.

As an Occupational Therapist, you provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload while also participating in the clinical team process.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.

• CEU’s per state licensure requirements.

• Must possess an OT license in Massachusetts.

• At least one year of OT experience required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Screens patients/residents

• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.

• May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.

• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care.Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.

• Contributes to the team meeting and decision‑making process as defined by the program.

• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.

• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.

• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.

• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.

• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisor.

• Provides appropriate consultation to the facility.
