Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide field-based, per diem in-home OT across California. Travel to patients’ homes is required; compensation is $130 per visit.

Applicants must be licensed in California, NBCOT registered, and have at least 2 years of clinical OT experience, with CPR certification and a valid driver’s license to support home visits. This role offers flexible scheduling and per-visit compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by AOTA and related bodies.
• Registered with the NBCOT examination.
• Active California Occupational Therapy license.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and home environments to identify needs and safety concerns.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and communicate them to physicians and the care team.
• Teach and retrain patients in daily living skills after illness or injury.
• Recommend and instruct patients on adaptive equipment, splints, and orthotic devices.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and report changes in patient condition.

This is a field-based, per diem position that requires travel to patients’ homes. Although listed as “remote,” this is not a work-from-home or telehealth role. Compensation is $130 per visit.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and home environments to identify needs and safety concerns
• Develop personalized treatment plans and communicate them to physicians and the care team
• Teach and retrain patients in daily living skills affected by illness or injury
• Recommend and instruct patients on adaptive equipment, splints, and prosthetic/orthotic devices
• Maintain accurate clinical records and promptly report changes in patient condition
• Coordinate with the broader care team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
• Educate family members and caregivers on the patient’s treatment approach
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and oversee home health aide care when OT is the sole skilled service
• Support discharge planning as patients transition out of home health care
• Perform other duties as required for patient services

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Active California Occupational Therapy license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience
• Current CPR certification with AHA
• Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to travel to patient homes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
