Job summary

Legacy Lifecare Hospice and VNA in Massachusetts seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT). This PRN role offers flexible scheduling with no weekends or holidays and pays $90 per visit.

The OT will deliver skilled therapy, evaluate residents, and coordinate with a care team to meet individualized goals. Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program, MA OT license, and at least 1 year of experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current MA Occupational Therapy license.
• Minimum 1-year experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence and quality of life.
• Provide OT interventions to enhance ADLs, mobility, balance, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehab team, and families to establish goals and deliver coordinated care.
• Recommend and train residents and caregivers in adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and fall prevention.
• Complete timely documentation, monitor progress, adjust plans, and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to enhance activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, mobility, balance, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation team members, and families to establish goals and deliver coordinated care.
• Recommend and train residents and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and fall prevention strategies to promote safe, independent living.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation, monitor resident progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

Qualifications for Success:

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current, active MA Occupational Therapist license
• Minimum 1-year experience, preferable in a long-term care setting
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
