Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (1099 Independent Contractor) to deliver in-home and facility-based OT services across the DFW area in Texas.

You will develop personalized care plans, assess safety and fall risks, recommend adaptive equipment, and provide hands-on interventions to promote independence, with thorough documentation and caregiver education.

Qualifications

• Must be ACOTE-accredited OT program graduate.
• Must hold Texas OT license.
• 2+ years OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
• Assess homes for safety and fall risks.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies.
• Provide hands-on interventions to promote independence.
• Educate clients, families, and caregivers.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, and discharge documentation.
• Communicate changes in client condition with the DON and physicians.

IMPORTANT: 1099 CONTRACT POSITION

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 employee position. PRN visits are offered based on client needs and your availability.
