Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at BrightStar Care. As an OT, you will work directly with patients to assess their needs, develop customized treatment plans, and support their rehabilitation process. Your role will be essential in improving the functional abilities of our clients, enhancing their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patients to evaluate their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific goals, including improving mobility, coordination, strength, and daily living activities.
• Provide hands‑on therapy to patients, using evidence‑based techniques and treatments.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families about exercises, equipment, and adaptive techniques to improve daily functioning.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Proven experience in occupational therapy, ideally with a focus on home care or rehabilitation settings.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
