Job summary

Bridgeway Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in a facility, ensuring the highest quality resident care in compliance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities include screening residents, implementing treatment plans, communicating findings, scheduling therapy, and accurate documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• AL OTA licensure.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals per plan of care.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentation.

Bridgeway Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time or Per Diem/PRN

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated
