Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc. provides professional and paraprofessional services to clients in their homes, aiming to maximize independence in daily self-care activities. As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain function and navigate daily life from home.

This role emphasizes teamwork and high-quality service in a supportive environment. This field-based, per diem position requires travel to patients’ homes. Compensation is $130 per visit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the AOTA/COA.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Active California Occupational Therapy license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and home environments to identify needs and safety concerns
• Develop personalized treatment plans and communicate them to physicians and the care team
• Teach and retrain patients in daily living skills affected by illness or injury
• Recommend and instruct patients on adaptive equipment, splints, and orthotic devices
• Maintain accurate clinical records and promptly report changes in patient condition
• Coordinate with the broader care team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
• Educate family members and caregivers on the patient’s treatment approach
• Supervise OT Assistants and oversee home health aide care when OT is the sole skilled service
• Support discharge planning as patients transition out of home health care
• Perform other duties as required for patient services

• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and oversee home health aide care when OT is the sole skilled service
• Support discharge planning as patients transition out of home health care
• Perform other duties as required for patient services

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Active California Occupational Therapy license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience
• Current CPR certification with AHA
• Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to travel to patient homes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
