Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence in their own homes. You will evaluate functional abilities, design goals, and educate families, coordinating with physicians and the care team.

The role requires California OT licensure, CPR, and a valid driver's license with reliable vehicle. Minimum two years of clinical OT experience and strong communication are essential; per visit pay is $130.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by AMA and AOTA.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination (AOTA).
• Active California Occupational Therapy license.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to patient homes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and home environments to identify needs and safety concerns.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and communicate them to physicians and the care team.
• Teach and retrain patients in daily living skills affected by illness or injury.
• Recommend and instruct patients on adaptive equipment, splints, and orthotic devices.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and promptly report changes in patient condition.
• Coordinate with the broader care team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
• Educate family members and caregivers on the patient’s treatment approach.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and oversee home health aide care when OT is the sole skilled service.
• Support discharge planning as patients transition out of home health care.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services.

• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Active California Occupational Therapy license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience
• Current CPR certification with AHA
• Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to travel to patient homes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
