AVIR at Brownwood is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team in Brownwood, TX. We offer Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities and collaborate with residents, families, nursing staff, and other rehab professionals to maximize independence and quality of life.

The role emphasizes evaluative work, individualized treatment planning, ADLs training, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support residents’ functional goals and safety.

Qualifications

• Current Texas OT license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred.
• Ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' functional abilities, occupational performance, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each resident's clinical needs and goals.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services per treatment plans and standards of care.
• Implement interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, ADLs and independence.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with COTAs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing, physicians and other team members.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety, and home exercise programs.
• Provide recommendations on adaptive equipment, positioning, safety, and independence strategies.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and documentation timely.
• Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations and professional standards.
• Promote a compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.

AVIR at Brownwood is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. We are currently hiring for Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.

Our in-house rehabilitation program provides an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with residents, families, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals to help residents achieve greater functional independence and improve their quality of life.

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' functional abilities, occupational performance, and rehabilitation needs.

• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each resident's clinical needs and goals.

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans and applicable standards of care.

• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and functional independence.

• Monitor residents' progress and response to treatment and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

• Collaborate with COTAs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
