Job summary

AVIR at Eagle Pass is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This Full-Time position supports residents’ functional goals through hands-on care and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Texas COTA license and NBCOT eligibility are required; prior SNF/subacute experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Texas COTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• NBCOT certification or eligibility.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs and goals.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, functional activities, mobility, coordination, and fine motor skills.
• Monitor residents’ response to treatment and communicate progress or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education to residents and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, safety, and functional activities.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in care planning and support residents in achieving their functional goals.
• Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

AVIR at Eagle Pass is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
