Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our safety‑focused team in Colorado. The RN will provide administrative, clerical and medical support at customer sites, including health surveillance and case management.

Typical shifts are 8–9 hours, 1–3 days per week, with potential for fuller-time coverage during workload peaks. Required certifications include CAOHC audiometry and NIOSH spirometry, BLS, and state permits for phlebotomy/vaccine administration where applicable.

Qualifications

• CAOHC audiometry certification required
• NIOSH spirometry certification required
• BLS Provider certification required
• State-required certification for phlebotomy and vaccine administration when applicable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of health and wellness programs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: phones, emails, scheduling, inventory, data entry
• Maintain confidential medical records (paper and electronic)
• Evaluate and treat occupational illness/injury; telemedicine as needed
• Conduct health surveillance tests (phlebotomy, vaccines, vision, ECG, urinalysis, audiograms, PFTs)
• Review and act on test results
• Coordinate case management for absences and return-to-work exams
• Support alcohol and drug program activities and screenings
• Provide site wellness programs (blood pressure, flu shots)
• Other clinical/administrative duties within scope
• PRN role with 8–27 hours/week; may increase to full-time
• Day shifts 0600–1900; 8–9 hour shifts; 1–3 days/week; weekdays preferred
• Occasional weekends with notice as needed
