Smithfield Foods is seeking a Medical Manager to lead health services at our location. You will direct medical care, manage workers' compensation processes, and oversee nursing staff and clinic operations to promote a safe, healthy work environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, RN licensure (LPN acceptable), and first aid/CPR/AED certifications. Travel and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in nursing, environmental, health and safety or related field and 5+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.
• Current Registered Medical Manager (RN) licensure from the accrediting State government agency in the State of practice, or licensure from an accrediting State government agency in a State that reciprocates licensure through a multi-state compact.
• The company will consider a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in lieu of an RN with the equivalent combination of education and experience listed above.
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR and AED.
• Ability to make strategic decisions while in stressful situations including leading emergency response efforts.
• Occasional travel involved to collaborate with others.

Aufgaben

• Medical Care and Compliance: direct medical care for employee illnesses and injuries in accordance with regulations and clinic protocols; maintain compliant medical and claim records.
• Workers' Compensation Management: oversee the entire workers' compensation process and cost monitoring.
• Health Promotion and Wellness: coordinate employee health program activities and campaigns.
• Safety and Training: ensure completion of safety/health programs including drug/alcohol, HazMat, respiratory protection, and CPR/AED/First Aid training.
• Leadership: drive a positive employee experience via development and coaching.
