Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic in Riverside, CA, is seeking an Occupational Medicine/Workers’ Comp coordinator to support patient care coordination, registration, referrals, and authorizations. You will handle communications with employers, adjusters, and insurers, schedule patients, and assist with billing inquiries.

Responsibilities include processing authorizations, data entry, and coverage across Occ Med clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for Workers' Comp and Occupational Medicine patients; manage registration and referrals.
• Complete work statuses, PR2s and send to employers/adjusters.
• Submit authorization requests to adjusters and utilization review; follow up on pending requests.
• Assist Business Office with patient billing questions.
• Schedule new and established patients per clinic guidelines.
• Verify patient information with employer/insurer per registration criteria.
• Handle walk-in urine drug screens, alcohol swabs testing, DOT, and chain of custody forms.
• Respond to emails and faxes from employers, attorneys, and insurers per protocol.
• File documents per guidelines; obtain and send authorizations for referrals.
• Data entry duties and coordinate transportation for new injuries; cover other Occ Med clinics when needed.
