CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an Occupancy Specialist for Silo City Apartments in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on managing occupancy operations and ensuring compliance with housing programs to support residents and the community.

You will oversee certifications, lease renewals, payment monitoring, and documentation, while handling EIV reporting and related compliance tasks to maintain accurate resident records and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in HUD/LIHTC/RD/Affordable Housing field.
• Good rental leasing and financial bookkeeping skills.
• Excellent communication, confident and positive attitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Programs and On-Site Rental System.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain property and resident certifications, re-certifications, vouchers, verifications, and monitor monthly rental payments.
• Maintain monthly lease renewals, prepare documentation, and conduct interim and annual re-classifications or lease renewal signings.
• Review rental applications and make resident decisions per Resident Selection Plan and Rental Criteria.
• Handle and monitor all EIV monthly reports, EIV for re-certifications, criminal and background for EIV.
• Prepare 236 Excess Income accounts and reconcile security deposit/withdrawal accounts.
• Perform MINC's submissions and approvals.

Occupancy Specialist - Responsibilities:

The Occupancy Specialist is the individual who processes and oversees the operational aspect for the assigned property.

• Organize and maintain property and resident certifications, re-certifications, vouchers, verifications, and monitor monthly rental payments.
• Maintain monthly lease renewals, prepare all necessary documentation, conduct interim and annual re-classifications or lease renewal signings according to policies and procedures.
• Review rental applications and make resident decisions in accordance with Resident Selection Plan, Rental Criteria and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Handle and monitor all EIV monthly reports, EIV for re-certifications, criminal and background for EIV.
• Prepare 236 Excess Income accounts (if applicable) in addition to reconciling security deposit/withdrawal accounts with designated banking institution.
• Perform MINC's submissions and approvals.

Occupancy Specialist - Qualifications:
