Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Current BLS provider certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• NRP certification within 3 months of hire.
• New Grad requires ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to be on call.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and coordinate care with the team.
• Develop a written, individualized care plan including discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as needed.
• Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate patient changes to the Charge RN/Clinician.
• Document education and patient understanding in the medical record.
• Contribute to quality assurance activities and committees.
