Job summary

Allina Health in Shakopee, MN is seeking an obstetrics nurse for permanent night shifts. The role supports antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care with a 0.75 FTE schedule (60 hours per two-week pay period) and 8- and 12-hour night options. Extensive licensure, BLS/NRP readiness, and union contract considerations apply.

Weekend rotations are part of the schedule. Ideal candidates bring labor, postpartum, SCN or NICU experience and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree required.
• Bachelor's degree and 1 year Labor/Delivery experience preferred.
• RN license in MN/WI eligibility required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required (AHA or Red Cross, or in-house).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs; identify outcomes and plan of care.
• Coordinate and delegate care with the team to ensure safety and quality.
• Maintain current education and competencies to provide high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with family and patient to establish realistic, measurable outcomes.
