Job summary

Bothwell Regional Health Center is seeking an Obstetrical Technician responsible for nursing support on the Women’s Health and Newborn Care Unit. The role spans labor and delivery, NICU, and women’s health, including Cesarean scrub duties and Cesarean room maintenance.

The position requires flexibility across all shifts, with the professional RN overseeing care. Candidates with perinatal and neonatal experience, plus scrub certification or LPN/CNA credentials, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education/licensure/certification as Surgical tech, LPN, or CNA scrub role as per posting.
• Experience with perinatal, neonatal, or gynecological patients is a plus but not required.
• Additional beneficial skills include secretarial duties, patient care, operative tasks, and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain readiness for Cesarean Section at all times: cleaning, setup, restocking, equipment checks.
• Scrub for cesarean sections.
• Maintain cleanliness and setup of the three units (vaginal delivery rooms, treatment rooms, outpatient rooms).
• Restock and order supplies throughout the department including WHNC, NICU, and L&D.
• Assist in education of other obstetrical technicians as needed.
• Enhance communication with customers, staff, physicians, and community.
