Houston Methodist is seeking a Surgical Technologist (L&D) to support obstetric procedures, maintain sterile technique, and assist the surgical team under physician direction. The role requires CST/CSA/TS-C certification and BLS, with emphasis on obstetric versatility and patient safety.

The candidate will prep rooms, assist during deliveries and cesarean sections, and ensure accurate counts and instrument readiness. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.
• Certification: CST or CSA or TS-C and BLS required.

Responsabilités

• Assist surgeon and/or surgical team under supervision during obstetric procedures (vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections).
• Maintain sterile field and prepare rooms/equipment for procedures.
• Count sponges, instruments, and needles with circulating nurse.
• Communicate updates to surgeon preference cards and document observations.
