Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO is seeking an Obstetric Surgical Technologist (PRN). You will join a collaborative obstetric surgical team, preparing the suite, supporting procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role includes on-call coverage and opportunities for growth within HCA Healthcare's network. Prior perioperative or obstetrical experience is preferred, with CST certification encouraged and BCLS current.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technician program or Surgical Tech training.
• Current BCLS recognized by American Heart Association required.
• Certification as a Certified SurgicalTechnologist (CST) preferred.
• One year prior experience in a perioperative or obstetrical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Week day, nights, and weekend coverage.
• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure instruments and equipment function properly.
• Work closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care.
