Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide direct patient care support in the OB unit under Nursing and Medical Staff guidance. You will assist with surgical procedures, patient preparation, and coordination of perioperative tasks.

Requirements include a Surgical Technologist Program, CST certification, and American Heart Association BLS. The role may involve on-call duties and travel within Mercy facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification and CST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing patient care and surgical support for the OB unit.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team.
• Support operational tasks like patient records, bed control, transport, and specimen handling.
• May take call as required.
