Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL is hiring an Associate Obsolescence Engineer or Obsolescence Engineer to join the DMSMS team. You will collaborate with procurement, IPTs and program management to resolve obsolescence risks and sustain current contracts.

The role requires STEM degrees, ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance, and may offer relocation assistance and travel up to 10%. Pay ranges listed reflect both Associate and Engineer levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Experience with DMSMS concepts and processes is preferred.
• Strong inter-personal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of DMSMS management tasks to identify obsolescence risk.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline teams including procurement, IPTs, and program management.
• Develop and maintain obsolescence BOMs with suppliers and perform end-of-life data analysis.
• Track obsolescence issues using the DMSMS case management tool from identification to resolution.
• Support life-cycle cost analyses and technology roadmaps.
• Provide data for technical interchange meetings and program deliverables.
