Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Engineer DMSMS to lead obsolescence mitigation for defense systems in San Diego or Palmdale, CA. The role requires on-site work with up to 25% travel and a TS/Secret clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities include data-driven roadmaps, coordinating meetings, coordinating with suppliers, and developing metrics to measure mitigation effectiveness. A STEM degree and relevant DMSMS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a STEM field with 5+ years related experience; MS with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year.
• Experience in proactive DMSMS/obsolescence management.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, macros)

Responsibilities

• Lead obsolescence mitigation activities and coordinate meetings.
• Gather, verify, and track data to support mitigation roadmaps.
• Engage management and suppliers to resolve obsolescence at low cost.
• Develop program metrics to evaluate mitigation effectiveness.
• Organize group projects aggregating obsolescence data.
