Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Engineer DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources or Material Shortages) to join our team in San Diego, CA. The role is full-time on-site with no remote option, with up to 25% travel and a Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 5+ years of related experience
• MS Excel advanced, pivot tables, macros
• Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Strong data analysis and obsolescence management experience

Responsibilities

• Gather, verify, and maintain obsolescence data from multiple sources.
• Lead obsolescence mitigation activities, meetings, and minutes.
• Develop roadmaps for end-of-life subsystems considering reliability and supplier capabilities.
• Engage senior management to coordinate DMS resolution.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve obsolescence at lowest cost while ensuring quality.
• Develop program metrics to evaluate mitigation effectiveness.
• Organize and lead group projects aggregating obsolescence data.
