Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an on-site Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit. The role supports continuous patient monitoring in a 24/7 environment with 12-hour night shifts (7p–7:30a) and weekend/holiday rotation.

You will provide direct nursing care, assess patients, document care, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure timely patient disposition within 24–48 hours. Requirements include Maryland RN licensure, an Associates degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and discharge planning needs.
• Document and communicate patient status and changes to the health care team.
• Initiate and evaluate plans of care using nursing diagnoses.
