Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the R4E-Observation Unit at Reading Hospital. Shifts are 7:00pm-7:30am on weekends and holidays, with a rotating schedule.

You will evaluate patients, plan and document nursing care, and administer medications within the RN scope of practice, serving a diverse patient population with complex needs. The unit handles ED-origin patients needing additional tests or brief observation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
