Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit.

The role involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation, providing patient care using the nursing process and ensuring discharge planning fits patient needs. Qualified candidates are licensed as RN in Maryland or compact states with an Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• CPR certification; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs.
• Document nursing assessments and patient response per policy.
• Initiate and monitor individualized care plans with family involvement.
• Lead and support staff, and participate in department standards of care.
• Communicate changes to the health care team in a concise, timely manner.
• Float to other units as needed and maintain accountability for duties.
