Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Platform Engineer / SRE/DevOps focused on incident response, service management, and cloud observability. Join a team translating real-world experience into practical guidance, demos, and storytelling to inform Datadog’s advocacy and engineering work across communities.

You will collaborate with product engineering to build demos, contribute to documentation and open source, and help teams improve incident response, on-call practices, and SLOs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Software Developer with on-call incident experience.
• Strong knowledge of service-management practices (incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, SLOs).
• Public writing samples, blog posts, demos, or presentations on technical topics.
• Comfort with scripting languages and APIs; familiar with cloud services and containers.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and share knowledge broadly.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for service management for advocacy and engineering teams.
• Create content across demos, blogging, webinars, docs, and open source to raise Datadog's profile.
• Partner with product engineering to build demos and coach teams on communication.
• Interface with open source communities to drive messaging and integrations.
• Contribute to the product via feedback, docs, or code.
