Job summary

Datadog is seeking a seasoned Platform/SRE- or DevOps-focused engineer with strong incident response experience to craft content and demos that showcase Datadog’s leadership in observability and security. You will partner with engineering to build compelling demos and educate teams on effective communication.

You will also engage with open source communities and contribute to product feedback, while expanding Datadog’s brand across the DevOps and SRE communities, including public talks and blogs.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, DevOps or software development with on-call/incident experience.
• Strong understanding of service-management practices (incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, SLOs) and tooling like Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie or equivalent.
• Passion for solving organizational challenges and sharing knowledge broadly.
• Approximately 2+ years of storytelling/content creation, public talks, demos, blogs or open source contributions.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for service management for advocacy and engineering teams.
• Create content across demos, public speaking, blogs, docs, webinars, and open source.
• Collaborate with product engineering to build demos and coach teams on communication.
• Engage with open source communities to drive messaging and integrations for Datadog.
• Contribute feedback to product, docs, or code.
