Job summary

Datadog, Inc. is seeking an experienced SRE for Incident Insights & Readiness to enhance on-call reliability and incident response. You will own the on-call platform, define response processes, and collaborate with product teams to reduce friction while driving learning across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, lead post-mortems, and help embed with teams to strengthen reliability. This role supports a hybrid work model with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience building or operating distributed systems and familiarity with Kubernetes.
• At least 5 years building software that solves real user problems.
• Ability to independently own ambiguous technical problems from design through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the on-call experience by establishing best practices and building platforms for rotations and compensation.
• Define incident response, lead design and implementation to streamline processes with product teams.
• Contribute to post-mortems and drive learning value across the organization.
• Support incident reviews and share learnings to improve resilience.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching through reviews and collaborative problem solving.
• Train on-callers in incident and post-mortem processes.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve reliability across Datadog.
