Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Cloud Observability Architect to redefine health monitoring for cloud and SaaS platforms. You will lead a shift to application‑first observability, champion telemetry, and establish enterprise standards across engineering, product, platform, and operations.

You will partner with teams to drive modern tooling, governance, and cost optimization while delivering end‑to‑end visibility into critical customer‑facing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical field.
• 10+ years in SRE/DevOps/Platform roles focused on observability.
• 3+ years architecting enterprise observability solutions in complex cloud/SaaS environments.
• Experience leading transformation and adoption of new engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of the observability strategy with an application‑first focus.
• Define and evolve the enterprise observability architecture and telemetry patterns.
• Develop and maintain an observability platform strategy and drive adoption of enterprise standards.
• Serve as SME to engineering, product, SRE, Cloud Ops, FinOps and leadership.
• Evaluate and guide implementation of observability technologies and best practices.
• Drive transition from infrastructure‑centric monitoring to modern observability using APM, tracing, logging, metrics.
• Establish governance, standards, and a community of practice for observability across teams.
• Partner with FinOps to optimize telemetry-related cloud costs.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and reliability frameworks to support customer commitments.
