The ideal candidate has built observability platforms at scale and can translate telemetry into actionable insight for engineers and business stakeholders. This is a remote US-based position with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Hands-on with Prometheus, Grafana, and at least one commercial observability platform (Datadog/New Relic/Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise-grade observability platforms across metrics, logs, traces, events, and synthetic monitoring.
• Architect Prometheus/Thanos/Mimir, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog deployments for high availability and scale.
• Develop standards for service instrumentation including OpenTelemetry adoption and structured logging conventions.
• Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs and build dashboards and alerts to operationalize them.
• Build alerting strategies to minimize noise and integrate with on-call workflows like PagerDuty.
